Macbeth :- William Shakespeare

Macbeth is a tragedy by william shakespeare.it was probably first performed in 1606. It is very significant and remarkable work of Shakespeare. It is play. It is Shakespeare's shortest tragedy.

     let's see some my overviews on this film adaption:-

                When some literal work's take as some literal leval aa a film, tv siries that's called adaptation. First of all I will talk about the adaption of Maqbool film which based on Shakespeare's Macbeth. 

Maqbool- 

In 2003 this film is Indian crime drama by vishal Bhardwaj. In it pankaj kapoor, irfan khan tabbu, and other actors play the role.this film is based on Shakespeare' s drama Macbeth.

                    The plot of the film is based on that of macbeth with regard to events and characterisations.The film did not well performed at the box office, but won director vishal bhardvaj interanatonal acclaim. Apart from directing it, he had also conposed the background score and songs for the film. Bhardwaj than moved to addapting William Shakespeare's othello in his 2006 film Omkara which won him commercial as well as critical success. 

 Let's see about film in short:- 

                            The film is based on William shakespeare's Macbeth, with the Mumbai underworld as its backdrop. Main character Maqbool is the right hand man of Jahangir khan(Abba ji), a powerful underworld don. Maqbool is greatful and feels a close connection and personal inhebidence to Abba ji. Seeing their close realtionship, but also sensing Maqbool's ambition, two corrupt policemen predict that Maqbool will soon take over the reins of the Mumbai underworld from Abba ji. 

                       Nimmi is Abba ji's mistress, but she and Maqbool are secretly in love. Nimmi encourages and persuded him to kill  abba ji to take over as don. Maqbool is torn between his love for Nimmi and his loyality to Abba ji, but he is in bedtime with next time to him. Maqbool gets away with the murder and takes over as Don.just as planneed.but both he and Nimmi are hunted by guilt, seeing abbaji's ghost and unable to wash the blood from their hands.

                     There is also suspicion, within the gang, of Maqbool's role in the death of abba ji, and eventually the lovers meet a tragic end.

Let's see what kind of adaptions in Macbeth and Maqbool :-

1) look, in Movie Maqbool is loyal from Abbaji so after kiling him he and Nimmi suffering from guilt. And same in macbeth Macbeth don't ready to king Duncan but force for lady macbeth he killed but after killing they are suffering from guilt.

 2)  in Maqbool Abbaji's mistess Nimmi secretly love with Maqbool that's change. She is him lover. In macbeth lady bacbeth is his wife.

3) in movie Nimmi gives birth to son that couldn't been either abbji's or Maqbool's.And after birth of her baby she died. And other side in play lady macbeth committed suiside.

4) one thing that the role of witches from the drama is taken by two corrupt policemen. in play macbeth believe in profecy of three witches that he become a king of scotland. In the same in play Maqbool belived  in two corrupt policemen. They say to him that he takes place of Abbaji in underworld. They are not passive fortune tellers. In fact they are active in manipulating the future events. 

5)  like lady Macbeth Nimmi also force to Maqbool to killed Abbaji. Here some changes that  Maqbool commit this sin because he loved with Nimmi and after Abbji's death nimmi and Abbaji's place is his.

6) In play when Macbeth asks about his death, witches tells him that jungles arrival at his palace. And similar prediction used here. On Maqbool quary to policemen tells him that sea's arrival at his palace will is died. Such a prophecy on literal leval is impossible to turn true. But the customs come to maqbool's place to arrest him,due to his smuggling from sea route.

7) in drama, Macbeth had halluciantion of Banquo during a meet at his castel. 

In the movie this scene was well in cooperated. It was a time of one of the death rituals of Abbaji, everyone was there. And the policemen bring the dead body of Kaka. Maqbool here, halluciantion that Kaka wakes up from death and disclosed this evil intentions.

                      Thus, the film becomes a great work of art which combines a classical tragedy with modern day scenario. It combines universally appealing issues of human ambition and local issues of collaboration of politics and criminal world. Its pure amalgamation of classical and cultural; of universal and local. Through movie was a gem and interanatonally appreciate.

  

Shakespearen tragedy a combination of Greek as well as modern day Absurd Theater :-

                            Shakespearen tragedy is the designation given to most tragedies wriiten by playwright William Shakespeare. Many plays of his history plays share the qualifiers of a Shakespearen tragedy, but because they are based on real figures throughout the History of England, they were classified as " histories"in the first folio.

                        If we see that Greek tragedy was a popular and influential form of drama performed in theaters across ancient Greece.

The term ' Tragedy' derived from the 'tragos' meaning goat  and 'oied' meaning song.

                     Look Greek tragedies never staged any scenes of violence. Such scences were described by the chorus. Shakespearen tragedies staged every scene that is there in the play. Both Greek and Shakespearen tragedy ends with a catastrophe, a disastrous conclusion that usually involves multiple deaths.

                       According to Macbeth as Shakespearen tragedy its very dramatic.its based on melodrama.Shakespearen tragedy was unique, born out of the pen of William shakespeare, who never followed the Aristotelian unities of time,place and action.

                      In macbeth we see the perfectly mentiain time,place and action.so its a that markble changes. 

                       If we talk about the theatre of the absurd that though the term  is applied to a wide range of plays, some characteristics council in many of the plays.broad comedy, vanuaile elements, absurd and tragic imagery mixed together, characters cuaght in hopeless situations forced to do repetivr or meaningless actions, dilogues full of cliches,wordplay, and nonsense.

                      According to Macbeth refrence its fantastic combination of Shakespearen and Greek tragedy. If we see that this play is abusard theme thare is not done. Beacuse in the play we see no meaningless actions.

             

Web series :-

                 If I make web series based on this play.I make following changes in it.

1) in play lady that after killing if Duncun macbeth felt sins of guilt but in my web series u change it and make Macbeth character very strong. 

2) in play ambition is the main theme and in my addapting I take this but in this play only macbeth and lady Macbeth have this but in my series Banquo and macduf also have desire to become king. Because its reflect very clear part of this.

3) in it I gave important also other characters malcum and mecdof they are minor in play.

 4) in my series I would like to gave a role of maqbool film's all characters. Because in Maqbool they play very significant and remarkable role.

 

Ambition in 21 century:-

                     Macbeth is probably the best play of Shakespeare. It's about greed for power and ambition. Ambition is main central  theme in play. Macbeth encouraged by the witches, Macbeth's true downfall his ambition. Lady Macbeth is as ambitious as her husband. Macbeth's blind pursuit of power can be contrasted with other ambitious character in the play like Banquo. At the end of the play, macbeth has achieved all he wanted, but has nothing.

                  We know very well that without ambition thare is no best life you have. If you have no your own one dream what can you want in your life that its not done. Something that you very much want to have or do.

                  In this 21 century if compare with Shakespearen age that those days people desire to become king and this time people also have desires like these. And ambition did anything by people. 

                   Everyone has a way to spend their life, some are happy with thier work and some are not,so they aspire for more and more and become ambitios which is good trait. Life is all about exploring, enjoyibg a better part of yourself . I believe not being ambious is very very very good sign.

                  In our time we see that they sets goal oriented and are always striving towards the next accomplishments,but healty  ambitiobs involves keeping your goal private. So it we can say that ambition id needful things.

 My learning lessons from 17th century Renaissance play :-

                      It was an incredibly time of beauty, blossmings with creativity and curiosity.  Art is great form of self. Artist devloped by artists and many other thogh a form of visuals that allows.us to better intereptvand and devlop our oprions.

                   In that time plays are very significant. Its drop uppon that play reflect the socity. Macbeth desire to become king and ready to kill him.and that's time also we faced this situation. People enjoy the play but they also learnt into them.

Play relevant at that time? :-

                         Yes I find that this play is relevant this time because people are still motivated by greed, ambition and jealousy today just like in that times. Macbeth wanted to be king and some people today would do anything for money and power. Its continues to remain relevent contemporary socity through the exploration of  ambition, a political and valie that is doubl. Just because of ambition is the everything . and with out ambition there is no better life. And that's most thing that betion is the best director. 

                      We notice that macbeth is relevant today's time.

 

Conclusion :- 

                In nutshell I say that we find macbeth in different way here. Above we lots of things we discuss. And its very interesting subject. We find and write macbeth  a strong character. The good things about tragedy is that there are no subplots and its just hits the right never instantly. In play we find one female character of lady Macbeth. Its all about ob ambition.there is a very strong family character. She couldn't be ibolised alright.

                                  

Metaphysical poetry :-

Today we talk about metaphysical poetry and its characteristics. And also I explain my view on 5 major poem which I learnt in my syllabus.

   So first of all we see what is metaphysical poetry?:-

                There is no age represents by metaphysical poetry in fact  its represents distinactive school of thought.Metaphysical means beyond the physical world. In that's type poetry we see the spirituality.

                    Metaphysical poetry term which is coined by samuel johnson in his most remarkable work "Life of Eminent English Poets".when john donne and other metaphysical poets for writing they was not aware of the concept of metaphysical poetry. They just writing want came from within. After 100 year when samuel johnson looked out the work of such writer and he able to club then together and than sam be characteristics and its posses. That he coined the metaphysical poetry word.

                    If we see that metaphysical poets talk about god,love,religion,spirituality which can not be explaine by science is that be concerns in metaphysical poetry.

                   We see that we also like most john donne and other metaphysical poets work because they use serval excellent literary device. They use pun,conciet,carpediam.

                   

                Let's see some characteristics of metaphysical poetry:-

1)Analyse the subject matter from an intellectual view point:-

                    We found that a metaphysical poet would not simply declare a feeling of love; they would analyse it and try to understand its higher purpose and meaning.

2)Heavy use of literary devices, like paradox,pun, and irony. To convey the subject matter.:-

                In it metaphysical poetry also uses a lot of colloquial language. Donne, for instance,uses the phrase " busy old foole" in his poem, " The sun rising ".

3) Random or irregular style.:-

                      Many metaphysical poms have a distininct style, often using " rough metrics" or " packed lines". Take a look at George  herbat's  " the collar"  for an example of this chaotic and rather disorders froms.

4)far fetched images:-

                      They taken images from field of knowledge,science, agriculture, geography, history, astronomy, chemistry, architecture, geometry, mathemetics, biology,medical etc.

We take example in poem flea..:-

     "Mark but this flea,mark in this

     How little that, which thou deniest me is

     It sucked me first, and now sucks thee

     And in this flea our two blood migled be."

          The use like this images  makes their poetry difficult.

5) conciet:- 

                   It refer that a particular type of metaphor or simile.conciet compares very dismilar things. We take example that bright smoke, calling lovers as two points of compass,taking soul as drew drop,etc.

                There are many characteristics of metaphysical poetry. It talks about deep things. It talks about soul, love ,religion, reality etc. We can never be sure about what is coming your way while reading a metaphysical poem. This poetry also a unclear.there i8s no seriousness in it, it also talk about in humorous way. The tone is sometime light.

Let's I explaine five poems in brief:-

               Metaphysical poems are very interesting and readers also like most and I personally like and interested in it.

1)Holi sonnet:- Death be not proud 

                   Death not be proud is very well known Holly sonnet by John Donne. This sonnet is addressed by the poet to death itself. The theme of this poem is the atrocaties of death and potrays the image of death as very common thing. He makes many understatement in the poem regarding the death. He says that death is nothing but a sleep and it gives us the same pleasure as we derive from the sleep.9

                   In it poet says that death is slave of four elements. These four elements are:- 

1) fate 2) chance 3) kings 4) man in destress.

We leant that the meaning is death comes to a person only when death is decided by fate or chance or a kong or a man in destress.

                    At conclusion of poem poet says nothing more than in short sleep. There were be no fear of death and death itself will die beacuse nobody will be afraid of death.

 2) The Flea:- 

                

 The flea by john donne. In this poem poet uses a biological images of the flea in order to express his love for his beloved the flea is s small insects.which services by sucking blood from the skin on animals. Through the insects poet describes his love and his talk with his beloved.

                   In this poem Donne makes use of the wit for which he eventually. In this we found that the lover is speaker and the beloved is the silent listener. Her gestures and attitude brought out by reference to them on the part of lover.she noticed that first, it sucked his blood and than hers, and in this way,thier blood mingles in its body, as they do in sexual interactions. The flea  enjoyed union with her, without any  courtship or marriege.

                Poet says that enjoy the pleasure of physical union, which the lovers cannot enjoy prior to marriege.

3)The sun rising by John Donne:-

                The Sun Rising is a love poem set in speaker's bedroom. Where he and his lover lay in bed presumably after night of passions.._Donne wrote many an amourous poem in his younger days.we say that using the extended metaphor or conceit to explore in depth the relationship between himself.

                   This poem is an idiol example of the use of metaphysical event to deal with the theme of love. Poet employes the image of the rising sun for dealing with theme of love .

                   We know that The Rising Sun which is generally used for the expression of a new hope and optimzam also. But in it poem Jone donne dealing with theme of the love.

                    We can see that through the sun poet will be adressse he beloved. He compare his beloved with sun. He admire his beloved and talking with the sun. Its really admirable work by john donne.

 4) To his coy mistress:-

                      Its very well known poem by Andrew Marvel. It is poem with metaphysical conciet and it proves Andrew Marvell real follower of the school of John Donne. In this poem poet used image from the field of agree culture.the present poem deals with the theme of love. 

                 It is metaphysical poem in which the speaker attempts to persuded his resistant lover that they should have sexual intercourse. He explaine that if they had all the time in the world, he would, he would have no problem with thier relationship moving slowly.     

                   The poet opens by telling his mistress that, given all the time in the world, he would spend hundred of years praising each part of her body, while she could spend hundreds of years refusing his advance.

                   We know very well that  this poem is considered one of Marvell's finest and is possibly the best recognize carpe diem poem in English. Poet totally praised her body and saying him not to shy. Poem ends with the request of a lovers that both should make thier time it quality time by his responding to love of each other. It is not possible for them to stop the moment Of the sun.

                       Its very wonderful metaphysical poem by Andrew Marvell.

5) The collar :-

                        

.      Goerge Herbet is regarded as one of the greatest devotional poets in all of English literature. And 'The collar'  is one of his best-lovedy poems. Here I explaine it in short:-

             The title we see it some type of intresting. But ' The Collar' is symbolic; it seems to represents the relationship between the man within the poem and God. "collar, which priests wear as symbol.

            In this poem poet represents himself as priest. Poet write this poem on his own incident which happendeb in 1633 while he struggled with his own religious beliefs. He suffers and want freedom in his life. Its very interesting and also metaphor in it.

                 Its talk about how speaker bored with his life and want freedom. He tried for his life and say that he want too free for his priest life. In three of stanza he talk about his boring life. In fourth stanza he get some magical noise and direct connect with God. Than he realize that he should break this type of religion chain that type of collar he want.

                   In it the last rhyme we see that on word and Lord finally its done. Speaker's desire to cast Off the chains of belief and be free.

                  Metaphysical poetry is to be read with an open mind. It is not purposely trying to convince readers to think in a certain way but it provides a new way of thinking.Metaphysical poets highly intellectual and people of lerning. Reader's mind open up. Metaphysical poetry like the readers most because in it various subject are include. And they gave a poetry as a different level.so we see its characteristics and 5 poem.

post truth : The word of the year 2016

 This is something new word for us..its related with our life and also our political matters. this word is show our rational intellectual level.

Let's discuss about it:-

                           In 2016 the Oxford dictionary selected post truth as the "word of the year" and defined it as a term relation to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influenced in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion  and personal belief.The proposed definition derives from philosophical observation of the new concept " post truth."

                       Only in 2016 against the breakdrop of the united states presidential elections and the united kingdom represents about withdrawal from the european union

(Brexit).

                   It is complicate our view of human behavior and to object to moral certainties that encourage black and white judgement about what's good and what's evil.

                      We can see that people believe and flows with lianess in politicians's fake news.if things are true but that their situtaion its fake but we know the true after the happening.

                         The extensive discussion on post-truth politics in past two years is suffering from a lack of shard conceptual understanding. Different authors use the term differently without acknowledging this existence of competing definitons.

What is post-truth politics?

It's very typical question for us. And its big major problem for our country in time.post truth politics, I contend, ought to be understood as a predicament in which political speech is increasingly detached from the factual infrastructure.

This definition differs in particular from those that equat  post-truth with the "Death of expertise ". I also think must be much more precise regarding the role of emotions in the production of post truth. Defending truth might involve as much emotion as violating at.

Most potent examples of post-truth politics as a style available to individual politicians are instance in which outright lies about things that technically anyone could verify are used albiat perhaps not always consciously for varios political purpose towards both adversaries and  one's own  supporters.  

If we talk about Donald trump that he characterized by carelessness,shamelessness and numerousness. Many of his lies are misrepresentations of long-term processes in his own favor, false statements about media coverage, or lies about numbers - most recently about the number of victims of hurricane Maria in puetro Rico. When lies become prevalent enogh, the media and democratic audiance easily become disorianted,lose the basic corodinates that usually suport scrutiny.

The post-truth closely related to what Harry frannkfurt famously described as ' bullshit'. If we see that both forms of speech are indifferent towards the truth-value of statements, which distingushes them from traditional .

Post Truth Politics in India:-

Bjp's 2014 elections was largely based on the post-truth narrative that congress party has no contribution to independent india that during the entire period from independence to 2014. They only looted India as did the Mughlas and British. They started a hate campaign against congress leaders particularly of the Nehru Gandhi family, which continues Till date, maligning thier characters,integrity, personal life even death.

we living in post truth world where ' alternative facts' replace actual facts, and feelings have more weight than evidence.yet post truth didn't begin with the 2016 election. The decline of traditional media and the rise of social media, and the emergence of fake news as a political tool, and we have the ideal conditions for post truth.

 post-truth is very intresting words. And politicians also use this very largely manner. See that picture that all the truth but they show in various view.Morden truth think that tharefore he. And post truth believe that yet he right.but truth is different that nothing like to be its just to liers work.

Conclusion:- 

In nutshell we say that its very interesting word and also its full of wide information. In political field this word use in very major way.And last I would like to say that never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty and truth and compassion and aginst injustice and lying and greed. If people all over the world...would do this,it would change the earth. Don't bend; don't water it down; don't try to make it logical.
