The Elephant vanishes is the story of an elderly zoo elephant who mysteriously vanishes after being taken by a suburuan japanese community when the town's zoo close, as well as this event's lasting effects on the story's narrator.Elephant was very badly ignored by communities.They avoid this animal.if there is other little animal would be there than they killed it but its elephant so they don't take risk. They called meeting of town people.Than decided elephanta and his keeper stay in zoo.
The story is written in first narration. Narrator was like animals more.this story start with his introducion. He is the first person who will become eye witness if disappearing the elephant and keeper and he tries to covey everyone that he was victim of the event but no one can believe him.In fact,his girlfriend also not believe in his this absurd talk.
In the beginning,we met the narrator. He read the newapaper and find that the elephant and keeper have vanished from the elephant house.than narrator realized that he was last victim too see the elephant last time. Narrator saw that that night in elephant house elephant and its keeper became small and an unexpectedly they disappear.But he know that in his this talk nobody can believe.In news all the papers they published that they vanished.
Once narrator met his friend and he talk with her about this incident but his friend not to believe and not interested in this.and after they not meet again.Although everyone else seems to have easily forgotten about the case,the narrator feels that his own perception can no longer be trusted. A sense of chaotic imbalance has distupted the natural orders and overtake his rules in the wake of the elephant who vanished.
Analysis of the story:-
This story based on idea about narrator's own feeling.It consist very significant thought about human being and nature.Murakami says about existence of animall which are not able to this time.in this time we harm nature and animal.He used metaphor in this story.Narrator describe how narrator's life was imbalance.
This story reflect our morden life style.If we talk about this time we suffering from natural cricis,its happened because we harm to nature and animal.
In story its strang that a big animal disappear.But in critical way we see that point so Murakami talk that our now situation. In this time animals also disappear and killed by humans.We also harm them any others way.our extra use of science and technology create so many pollution.Human tries to order harm the nature chain.
This story is very interesting. And it's very moral story. This story says that how we save the nature .

In nutshell,we can say that its very significant story.Author also used metaphor and criticize this story about our behavior towards the animal and nature.
