The plague by Albert Camus- Analysis and evaluation with covid-19

In this blog I will discuss about 'The plague' by Albert Camus which unknownly reflact the pandemic situation of covid -19.In this novel we find same situations of that time that we all are face in this time.

First of all I would like to give some basic information about writer.

                         -:Albert camus:-

 albert camus born on 7 november 1913.He got nobel prize at the age of 44 in 1957. His novels like;

1)The stranger

2)The plague

3)the rebel

That is his famous work.His main idea and theme in novels is absurdism.

He died in card accident on 4 january,1960 at the age of 46.

                       -:About novel:-

          Original form of this novel in french published in 1947. Original title of this poem is 'la paste'.This novel is decided into five parts.it's based on Cholera epidemic That broken out in the city of oran in 1849.

       -:Analysis and evolution of the novel:-

             We saw above that this based on plague epedmic.This reflect and related with our situation at that time.Camus write in this novel what he feel and what he gatherd information from witness of that time.its novel reflact that how people fight with that time.in novel we saw two type of people one was who fight with plague and one was to escape from this epidemic.

.                 See above picture 👆at this time covid-19 is the major and serious question for whole world.like plague covid -19 also opened eyes of people to wake up.there is lot's of similarities between that and this situation.

Let's evaluate the similarities:-

1)Humanity-human self-centerdness vs human sacrifice:-

                Humanity is the most important thing for human being.in this novel we see that plague broke out in oran.that in two type peoples in novel.we find character like Dr.Bernad rixue and other people who help people for recovery its best  reflection of humanity.And we also find characters like raymond rambert who want run away from this situation.

                And that we feel that in also our time same happened that some people fight against covid-19 and some are bastard people who not care for any kind of care and awareness about this fatal disease.

2)science vs religion:-

.             In this novel debet between Dr.Riexu and panelox expressing the conflict between science and religion.it's easily can be said that connection between faith and illness.panelox is learned well respected jeasuit priest.we see that major difference between both thinking.Dr.Riexu don't believe in god he also believe in only humanity and save only human lives make sure for his efforts.inside panelox he believe in god and says to people that as possible as they pray god.He is very practical man who believe that we never win in front of death.

             In that in world counting of that thousands of doctor become god for all human being.we fight against covid-19 but they don't care about thiers life.science is also help in this situation make to feel comfortable for us.

3)power politics-fascist forces of 1940s,surveillance society of 2020s

                  

.                  In this novel we see the important role of government.when we meet character joseph grand we feel that he lives such an austere life.He tells riexue that he married in his teen age and just because of his promise to his wife which he not complete so his wife left him.He tried to letter him but he failed. Than he joint to volunteers to help peoples.He caught by plague so he said Riexu  to abloished.at the end of novel he recover and feel healthy.

                       If we talk about this time government play a important role.our respected prime minister Narendra Modiji try his best to go out from this situation.we see that many rules he make for us just because of to save our lives.and we should support them.our economy stutus also down for this pandemic. But still we hope that we loss the corona.

 4)Role of doctors and volunteers:-

.                    In novel we see one character doctor rixue who not worry about his life.He only save people for plague.He was first victim of plague and describe this word.He warn authorities to take action that's it thosans of people died by this plague.

                      Whole world were worry about this critical situation.all people pray and desire to live.they make safety for own self.But there is thousand of people without worried about life and save the thousands of people life.thare is doctors and medical staff. They try thiers best to go out from this situation. 

                     -: Conclusion:-

                   In summary I say something that not a more different between plague time and this corona time.this novel beutifully depicted unknownly our situation.we try to aware about this.its a big message from nature.we usually harm it for our own way.And that's you can see that nature gave a big slap on our cheek.Because of corona we also suffering from various problems. Some have economy problems,some have migration problems etc.But that's time we safe in house.Nature teach one things use nature which you need.at that time situation are under control just because of science. And we also thankful fir god.so being human and save the nature.we have to keep fighting against corona.
